Lucky day
10:21 p.m. — Clyde Morris Boulevard and Hand Avenue
Possession of Heroin and Narcotics Paraphernalia. An officer clocked a car going 74 mph in a 45 mph zone on radar. After the stop, the officer noticed a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the car. The suspect said there was no marijuana in the vehicle and it smelled that way because he and his buddy smoked a joint in the car at his buddy’s house.
When searching the suspect, the officer found a medium-size baggy with three smaller baggies containing a white powder in his sock. The victim said, “I forgot that was even there” and said the officers were lucky to find it on him.
Unused syringes were found in the car and the white powder tested positive for heroin. He was transported to jail.
