The European School of Performing Arts is starting a new holiday tradition with their debut performance of the Charles Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol" at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach.
Held at 2 p.m. Dec. 4, the performance will feature ESPA dancers, performers from Daytona Playhouse and musicians from the Central Florida area.
The dance institution has been in this community for almost forty years, and will also be participating in the Tiny Tim’s Toy and Food Drive benefiting the Children’s Home Society of Florida and Halifax Urban Ministries.
“We are raising awareness and supporting two nonprofits that directly help the community ESPA has been a part of for almost forty years," said Germaine Bledsoe, director of European School of Performing Arts. “We are asking our audience attendees to support these non-profits by either choosing a child off the holiday tree or bringing an unwrapped gift or non-perishable food item to the performance.”
A Victorian Family Christmas Tea with cast meet and greet will be held in the Rose Room following the performance. Tickets for both performance and the tea will be available at the Peabody box office or online at peabodyauditorium.org/ESPA-s- A-Christmas- Carol-10- 233.html.
