Ormond 7-year-old donates four 30-gallon bags of socks to HUM

Leah Davis has a goal of collecting one million socks.

Leah Davis recently delivered four 30-gallon bags of socks to the homeless at Halifax Urban Ministries in Daytona Beach to help those affected by Hurricane Matthew.

The 7-year-old currently looking for more donations to help her reach her goal of collecting one million socks. Places to donate are listed below: 

  • A+ Tutoring,  617 S. Yonge St., Ormond Beach
  • Babes Blue Room,  206 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach
  • Sandalwood Nursing Center, 1001 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach 
  • Dr. Helen Mate's Office, 4770 S. Ridgewood Ave., Site 4, Port Orange
