CRIME REPORTS: Multiple break-ins, alleged machete threat

The following is a summary of daily Flagler County Sheriff’s Office commanders reports since the Observer’s last print issue:

Thursday, Oct. 13 Day Shift

On Bleu Court in Palm Coast, two people were seen running out of a house carrying electronics. They fled in an orange Saturn sport utility vehicle. A deputy working with a police dog found an orange Saturn SUV, and deputies conducted a felony traffic stop on it. They found two people inside. One was arrested on a local warrant. Deputies didn’t find any stolen property inside the vehicle. They identified and released two other people in the car. 

Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance on Pine Hill Lane in Palm Coast. One man was arrested on two active local warrants — one warrant on a charge of violation of parole for possessing a concealed handcuff key, and one for battery by strangulation. 

Thursday, Oct. 13 Night Shift

A man went to his ex-girlfriend’s home on Rymshaw Lane, parked in front of the home, and got into an argument with her family. He pulled a semi-automatic pistol and “presented it to family the members.” Deputies found the man in front of Palm Pointe Condominiums and arrested him on charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest without violence. 

On State Road 100 West in Bunnell, a man got into an argument with a woman and then struck her in the face, chipping one of her front teeth. The two were reportedly heading to Bunnell Motel, where deputes found them. They arrested the man on charges of domestic violence aggravated battery, and violation of a protection injunction. 

A deputy responded to a location on Carry Court in Palm Coast in reference to a court order violation and a disturbance, where a woman had reportedly caused a scene at a home. The woman was leaving in her car when a deputy arrived and told her to stop the car and get out. The woman instead drove toward the deputy and intentionally struck his patrol car. There was a car chase to Oceanshore Boulevard North, and deputies in St. Johns County used stop sticks to stop the fleeing woman’s car, and arrest her. She was charged in both Flagler County and St. Johns County.

Friday, Oct. 14 Day Shift

Sometime overnight, a thief stole a makeup bag and medication form an unlocked car on Biscayne Drive.

A thief or thieves entered a Surfview Drive parking garage and stole a removable car top worth about $1,800 and a Corvette car cover worth about $300.

A customer at the Dollar General on Old Kings Road North entered the manager’s office and stole the managers’ cellphone and a computer. 

A man on Beechwood Lane said his wide pushed him during an argument Deputies saw no signs of injury, and found no probable cause for arrest. The two parties refused to be separated. 

The Department of Children and Families reported that there had been a hotline call about a Palm Coast child being touched inappropriately by another child. 

Friday, Oct. 14 Night Shift

At the intersection of Belle Terre Parkway and State Road 100, a deputy stopped a juvenile who gave conflicting information about what he was doing in the area and why he was there. The youth “appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.” Deputies tuned him over to his mother.

On Wakefield Place in Palm Coast, deputies responded to a “physical disturbance” between a husband and wife, and considered both of them as both victims and suspects. Each one said the other was the primary aggressor, and because there were no independent witnesses, no arrests were made. Deputies separated the woman and the man, and filed charges against both. 

Saturday, Oct. 15 Day Shift

On Freneau Lane in Palm Coast, a woman reported that another person punched her in the stomach and burned her with a cigarette. Deputies completed a charging affidavit on the 

A woman punch and kicked another person in the face multiple times at a home on Wellwood Lane in Palm Coast after the victim asked the woman to move out of the home after an argument. 

A person called the Sheriff’s Office to report a physical disturbance between several youths on Cherry Lane in Bunnell. Deputies separated the kids when they arrived. Adults at the scene refused to press charges and just one requested that a trespass order be issued. There was no physical evidence to support charges.

Saturday, Oct. 15 Night Shift

On North Oceanshore Boulevard in Palm Coast, someone broke into a man’s trailer who he was away.

Someone broke into an unlocked Wheatfield Drive, Palm Coast home and stole a woman’s purse.

On London Drive, sometime during the day, someone stole a wallet out of an unlocked car.

On Belle Terre Parkway, sometime during the day, a thief stole a wallet out of an unlocked car.

A deputy on patrol found an empty car on a large dirt pile at the intersection f Matanzas Woods Parkway and Old Kings Road. The deputy checked with the registered owner, who said the car had been stolen sometime between 11 p.m. and 5:15 a.m. The car was towed to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. 

A man continuously battered another person in his Richland Lane, Palm Coast household over the course of a week. Deputies took the suspect to the county jail. 

Deputies responded to a call about a physical disturbance between a man and a woman on Farragut Drive in Palm Coast. The man left before deputies arrived, but they later saw him parked at the Palm Coast Lanes parking lot. Deputies thought the man was armed, and a Sheriff’s Office corporal used a public address system to order him to leave the car. He did so, and deputies arrested him. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun with three loaded magazines.

Deputies responded to a call about a physical disturbance on Woodworth Drive in Palm Coast. Both people involved were considered suspects and victims, and each said the other was the primary aggressor. Deputies separated the people and planned to forward charges on both, both did not make any arrests cause of a lack o evidence and witnesses. 

Sunday, Oct. 16 Day Shift

A woman who lives outside the county called to report a sex offense from 15 years ago. She said that she had been sexually molested when attending a daycare center when she was 3 or 4. The Sheriff’s Office notified the Department of Children and families. 

A 2005 Red Dodge Neon was stolen fro a location on Rolling Place in Palm Coast. It was found in Daytona Beach after someone crashed it. It was damaged, but drivable. Deputies tried to contact the owner and couldn’t find her, and gave information on how to recover the car to the owner’s sister.

Someone cut the screen of a woman’s lanai on Ludlow Lane, Palm Coast to get into her back porch. The thief stole two decorative signs worth about $80, but didn’t seem to have gained access to the house itself. The actual theft happened sometime the evening or night o Oct. 15. 

A man report that someone broke into his car on Ziegler Place in Palm Coast  and stole the two car keys he’d left inside the car. The theft happened sometime between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Oct. 15.

Sunday, Oct. 16 Night Shift

A Rymshaw Drive, Palm Coast man heard a loud noise at about 1-2 a.m., but didn’t see anything. But at 4:40 a.m., he saw that someone had smashed out his car window and stole $100. 

A woman and a man were involved in a physical disturbance on Point of Woods Drive in Palm Coast. Both of them identified the other as the primary aggressor, and both had evidence of being battered. The two had a domestic violence history, and deputies couldn’t identify a primary aggressor. Deputies arrested both of them.

There was a physical disturbance between two people on Perrotti Lane in Palm Coast. Deputies arrested one person. 

Monday, Oct. 17 Day Shift

A woman came home to find a man inside her Birchwood Drive, Palm Coast home. She fled to a neighbor’s house and called 911, and someone saw the suspect get into a car that was driven by someone else. Deputies caught the pair and arrested them.

A Bridle Path Lane, Ormond Beach resident reported that her boyfriend hit her and threatened her with a machete. While deputies were on their way to the home, the man reportedly threw the machete at the woman — it did not strike her — then fled into the woods. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office helped bring in a police dog and backup. The police dog found the man, and Volusia County deputies arrested the man on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery and resisting arrest without violence. 

A Ryarbor Drive, Palm Coast man reported that his daughter had been missing since Friday, Oct. 14. She hadn’t gone to school The man said she’d gone missing in the past, but wasn’t reported missing. Deputies entered the daughter into state and national databases as a missing person. 

Monday, Oct. 17 Night Shift

A victim reported that someone stole his wallet while he used recreation facilities on Palm Coast Resort Boulevard in Palm Coast, 

The girl who’d been reported missing from Ryarbor Drive in Palm Coast earlier in the day returned home, and was removed from the state and federal missing person databases.
