Over 150 students engaged with author Loretta Neff and Ormond Beach resident Summer Foley during an interactive story time of the award-winning children’s book, "Tame Your Manners."
Held at Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach Oct. 17, Foley acted as the Royal Safari Queen and led a sing-along to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” Neff took the students on a journey through the jungle to meet animal characters and learn character traits and core values, some of which underscore anti- bullying and special needs themes. Foley is a classically trained vocalist and a brand ambassador for the EW Foundation, an educational nonprofit provider of character and etiquette education books and programs for children. She performs for fundraisers, charity and school events in Florida, and Massachusetts where she attends the Boston Conservatory.
Next month, Foley will volunteer for a Title I school story time and book signing at Memorial Elementary, a National School of Character in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey.
Since 2014, EWF has supported over 33 nonprofits through donations and/or sponsorships and benefited over 6,600 children with their award-winning books and programs, which includes 16 academies and schools and 14 charities. EWF is on track to meet its goal to benefit 10,000 children by year-end.
