Fields buys Volvo of Daytona

The deal happened Oct. 14.

Fields Auto Group recently bought Volvo of Daytona, the oldest family-owned auto dealership in Daytona Beach.

General Manager of Fields' auto dealerships at Daytona International Auto Mall — which include BMW and Mini — Steve McDonald said Volvo will share space with Volkswagon until they build them a dealership, which is set to happen before June of 2019. 

"We're big believers in Volvo," the Ormond Beach resident said. "Great brand, great product, and it'll be a great compliment to what we have." 

McDonald said they also bought the Volvo building at 601 Mason Ave., and plan to sell it.
