Robert Dimsey, a long-time Ormond resident, is once again dancing and singing his way across the stage at Daytona Playhouse.
Starting Nov. 4, Dimsey stars in "The Kids Left, The Dog Died, Now What?" written from first-hand experience by Carole Caplan-Lonner. The musical comedy salutes those valiantly struggling with divorce on their hands, gravity on their bodies, grandchildren on their self-images and the dating scene on their egos. Directed by Benjamin Beck with choreographer Allison Maxwell, the show features four versatile actors — Dimsey, Dawn Sauer, Danny Crile and Cynthia Tenaglia — shining in multiple roles in a cabaret-style revue that should strike a special chord with baby boomers.
The show opens 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and runs through Nov. 20. Tickets cost $21 for adults, $20 for seniors 55 and up, and $12 for 18 and under. Tickets online at DaytonaPlayhouse.org or call 255-2431.
