Oyster Bag Deployment
9 a.m. at Smith Creek Landing. Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area is looking for volunteers to help with placing oyster bags along the shore at North Peninsula State Park. Meet at Smith Creek Landing off Highbridge Road. Bug spray, hats and rubber boots are highly recommended.
Full Moon Magic: Harvest Moon Autumnal Crowns
6 to 8 p.m. at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. A new take on girls night. All supplies provided. Bring any personal embellishments you’d like to put on your crowns. Ages 21 and older. Historical Bus Tour
9:45 a.m. at The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive. Presented by the Ormond Beach Historical Society. This two-hour tour includes 30 sites. Cost is $20 for adults, and $7 for children ages 7 to 12. Tickets can be purchased at the OBHS Welcome Center, 38 E. Granada Blvd., or by calling 677-7005.
Granada Grand Festival of the Arts
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. behind the City Hall, 22 S. Beach St. Visual arts, demonstrations, musical performances and hands-on activities. More than 60 area artists selling unique, handcrafted pieces. Local food trucks, wine, beer and Calypso lemonade stand. Be part of the art with an interactive community project: a glass mosaic art piece that will be donated to Ormond MainStreet for public display. Frame of Mind will host a kid zone with a pedal-powered art station, and Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center will sponsor a free video booth where kids and adults can "glam it up" for their video feeds. Demonstrations include pottery, contemporary painting and the ancient Japanese art of fish rubbing. Sponsored by Ormond MainStreet and the Ormond Arts District.
