Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies searched a property April 5 that was connected to a man whose home had been the target of a shooting the previous day.

Numerous shots had been fired into the house at 162 B Plainview Drive in Palm Coast the morning of April 4. No one was hurt.

But deputies identified the victim in the shooting incident, 32-year-old Wilbert Hough, the resident of the house on Plainview Drive, as a suspected drug dealer. Their investigation led them to a "drug house" on another property, according to a Sheriff's Office news release: 31 Bird of Paradise Drive, where a SWAT team and members of the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit searched the home just before 8 p.m. April 5.

Deputies seized 10.4 grams of marijuana, an ounce of suspected MDMA, packaging supplies, a scale, $1,120 dollars in cash and 43 rounds of .380 ammunition.

Hough had been arrested before on charges including drug charges, burglary, fraud and trespassing. He was out of bail on other charges when deputies arrested him April 5. He is charged with less that 20 grams of cannabis, and with possession of drug paraphernalia.
