The Easter bunny visited, and hundreds of kids left the beach area with plastic eggs filled with candy at the 25th-annual Flagler Beach Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Joseph Pozzuoli Architect, on Saturday, April 15.
While most of the kids grabbed as many eggs as possible and then went on their merry way, several others used their egg-hunting methods to maximize their egg count.
Luke Mauro, who participated in the 9- to 12-year-old hunt, said he went "straight for the jackpot by first running as fast as I can. Then, I just scooped up everything while moving around, but I think I got too much sand."
Amiya Correia waited for everyone to leave and then she returned to the egg area and slid her fingers through the sand for any hiding eggs. She found two with her extra effort.
Many others contributed to make the event a success, including JPA employees, Sheryl Pozzuoli, the Flagler Palm Coast High School Honor Society and many Flagler Beach businesses.
