25th Ormond Beach Celtic Festival

What: Celtic Festival
When: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 22
             11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 23
Where: Rockefeller Gardens & Fortunato Park, 25 Riverside Drive
Cost:  $5 for adults and children under 12 - free
Parking: Free parking at all festival parking lots, free shuttle service from Ormond Beach City Hall parking lot.
Details: Event includes live music and dancing from 25 bands and four dance troupes from the U.S., Canada, and the British Isles. Highland games including an advanced NASGA sanctioned competition in caber toss, braemar stone, Scottish hammer, sheaf toss and more. Sheep dog demonstration of sheep herding technique at Fortunato Park at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Fortunato Park. The Orlando hurling team will demonstrate the ancient sport of Ireland.

When: 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 24
Where: Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 North Beach St.
Topic: Master Gardener Myrna Moore will speak on Protecting and Preserving Florida’s Flora and Fauna.

Spectrum Concert

When: 7-9 p.m. Saturday, April 29
Where: Seabreeze High School auditorium, 2700 North Oleander
Cost: Free
Details: Concert features the band and orchestra students of Seabreeze High School. 

Ormond Beach alarm installation rally

When: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 29
Where: Ormond Beach Fire Station 93, 300 Wilmette Ave.
Details: Install smoke detectors an provide disaster preparedness information to residents in Ormond Beach. No experience required.
