A special observance and dinner marked the 40th anniversary of Palm Coast VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post 8696, as well as the 35th anniversary of the post’s Auxiliary membership. Among the 70 attendees were charter members, past commanders and presidents, members, families, and guests.
About 70 people attended the social hour, followed by ceremonies and introductions led by Post Cmdr. Steve Jackson. Tables set with red, white and blue decorations sat beneath soft white miniature lights. After dinner, a huge celebratory cake was presented, and a toast to the post’s past, present and future was raised.
