Disorderly conduct. Police arrested a 36-year-old man for "huffing" an Office Depot cleaning duster can and causing a public disturbance on Selden Avenue.
A witness told police that he saw the man in his backyard hold the aerosol can to his mouth and breathe in the fumes, and then start to growl and snarl like a dog. Another witness said he saw him jump into the canal near the homes in question, and that he hopped out and started puffing the aerosol can. That witness told officers the neighborhood children were outside and saw the man walking down the street with the aerosol can to his lips.
The man was placed into police custody shortly afterward. The officers took away the duster can.

Disorderly intoxication. A 54-year-old woman was arrested after her neighbors called police to inform them of her drunken threats to kill them.
The woman was walking down the street when police officers found her. When she saw them, she broke out in a run despite the officers announcing themselves and instructing her to stop. They eventually had to cut off her path to stop her, and the officers noticed the strong odor of alcohol on her person.
Police report the woman was frantic and that she was insistent on going to wake up a neighbor, which police refused to let her do. She would not stop going for the home's door, and police were forced to arrest her. When they explained to her why they did, she said "I do not stop for the police anymore."
Officers asked her why she didn't stop when they first found her and she told them she was running from a man. The officers told her it was actually them chasing her, and she replied: "Oh, well some man was looking at me from inside his truck."
She was transferred to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
