“Jumping rope is a fun activity that brings us back to our childhood, but don’t be fooled, it is a great exercise,” said Trish Celano, Florida Hospital East Florida Region chief clinical officer. “Studies have shown that jumping rope is just as effective as running. In fact, just 10 minutes of jump roping is the equivalent of running an eight-minute mile.”
The event was held simultaneously Feb. 2 across the six Florida Hospitals in Volusia and Flagler counties.
