Photo gallery: Bulldogs earn rare first round playoff win

FPC moves on in the 9A playoffs.

The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs beat the Seminole Seminoles (21-7) 68-54 in the 9A region quarterfinals on Thursday, Feb. 16, at FPC.

The Bulldogs (17-11) advanced to the region semifinal for the first time in head coach Gary McDaniel's seven-year tenure.

FPC led 32-30 at halftime but extended its lead to 49-40 going into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs would pull away even further and hanged on for the rare first round win.

Joelle Wright and Fetherner Aime both led the Bulldogs with 15 points, and Aime added nine rebounds. D'maggio Warren scored nine points with 11 rebounds, and Preston Harvey added 14 points and five assists.

The Bulldogs will play against Oviedo in the region semifinal Tuesday, Feb. 21, at a determined location.
