Ormond Beach police are investigating two incidents at the Ormond Beach Walmart involving the theft of Star Wars Lego toys.
The first incident occurred on Monday, Jan, 9, at approximately 12:54 p.m. A subject was observed pushing a shopping cart full of Star Wars Lego sets past all points of checkout in the Garden Center and exiting the building. The store’s loss prevention officer stopped the subject in the parking lot. The subject then reached toward his waist, implying he had a gun, and verbally threatened to harm the officer, who backed away. The suspect then left the area in a red Jeep Liberty.
The second incident occurred on Monday, January 16, at approximately 7:06 a.m. The subject was again seen exiting Walmart, pushing a shopping cart full of Star Wars Lego toys. The suspect again left in a red Jeep Liberty. The Loss Prevention Officer positively identified the suspect as the person from January 9 theft of Legos.
The suspect is described as either Native American or Hispanic, 6-feet tall, approximately 215 pounds and 38 to 45 years old.
