For those who frequent the grounds of St. James Episcopal Church in Ormond Beach, the parish hall may have looked a little different than normal Saturday night.
In a joint effort to raise money for both the church and The Children's Academy on the Halifax, the building was transformed into "A Secret Garden" Jan. 21 thanks to Cornerstone Theatre Co., a well-known company based in Orlando.
The fundraising event featured tastes from Stonewood, Lulu's, Kale Cafe, and 31 Supper Club, and Ormond Brewing Co. There was live music by Sonny Ferguson, and a silent auction offered over 100 bargain buys.
