After five years as the executive director of Halifax Urban Ministries, Mark Geallis is resigning from the faith-based nonprofit organization.
In his letter to the Board of Directors, Geallis said, “During this time we have made great progress in reducing homelessness
and expanding services to our struggling neighbors, both as a ministry and as a community.”
Geallis will remain with the agency until the end of July, while a new executive director is found and to help with the transition.
“I will always cherish my time here, but know that now is the right time for me to move onto other ministry opportunities,” Geallis said.
