As a loyal ALDI customer for 25 years, Palm Coast resident Debra Turcotte will no longer have to drive 30 minutes to the ALDI in Daytona Beach for her favorite bread and egg products.
With ALDI opening July 13 at 5095 State Road 100 East, Palm Coast, Turcotte and other locals will have a much shorter commute.
"I've been trucking to Daytona," said Turcotte, who moved to Palm Coast in 2006 from New England. "I'm so excited it's right here in town now."
The grand-opening ceremony welcomed guests with a ribbon cutting, complimentary ALDI eco bags, product sampling and a chance to win a year supply of ALDI produce.
ALDI Director of Operations Jamie McFadden said 90% of the products ALDI carries are private label. She said this allows the grocery store to pass savings on to customers.
"I think what's unique about our model is we're so confident we offer the highest quality products at incredibly low prices," McFadden said.
