11:43 a.m. —100 block Cypress Grove Lane
Theft. Police responded to a call from a woman who recently moved to the area in regards to missing jewelry. The woman said she suspected the man who helped her move, who had been acting suspiciously, stole them.
After she checked her belongings weeks after moving, she realized she was missing her Tiffany & Co. necklace, a diamond and pear ring, 15-carat citrine and 2 sapphire stones. She also reported a page from her recent bank statement was gone.

10:23 p.m. —1500 block W. Granada Blvd.
Arrest. Police responded to a call regarding drunk men in front of a store who were harassing customers. An officer approached a man with a Natural Ice beer in hand, asking him his name.
The man told police his name was “Victoria Secret.”
He was arrested for providing a false name to police and being in possession of alcohol within 200 feet of the store.
Uncanny Hiding Spot
8:39 p.m. — 1000 block W. Granada Blvd.
Arrest. After stealing a woman’s purse, a man ran and hid from police in the bushes behind a local gym. When police arrived, the victim pointed out where the man was hiding and police asked him to come out of the bushes.
When the man ignored the command, police deployed a K-9 who discovered the man’s hiding spot.
The victim received her purse and the man was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail. On the way to jail, he told police he had made a mistake.
