Brandon Smith's workout philosophy is a simple one: if you want to lose weight, you're going to have to work — hard.
The Ormond Beach resident has been a personal trainer for five years and recently decided to turn his passion for helping people get healthy into his own gym. B PHiT Fitness opened in February but just held their grand opening party June 3 at 1280 Hand Ave., Unit 1.
Smith, who is also a professional body builder, currently has two other trainers who help him coach over 25 clients. All of which have achieved their fitness goals.
"You're definitely gonna get your results," he said. "I don't have a client who hasn't achieved their goals because it's not just their goals but mine as well. There are thousands of trainers to choose from, so it's a responsibility I take seriously.
Equipped with free weights, machines, inspirational quotes and no A/C, Smith said he makes sure everyone who comes to his gym to workout gets what they came for. B PHiT Fitness, which stands for Brandon's perfected high-intensity training.
"The work is gonna be hard," he said, "but it's worth it."
