A group of Port Orange educators are getting the chance to let the community see their skills as artists in a temporary gallery display.

From June 30 to July 28 ArtHaus will be presenting the ArtHaus’ Own exhibit, which will feature the artwork of their teachers.

“Although these are excellent passionate teachers they are also talented artists,” Executive Director of ArtHaus Laurie Gomon Ring wrote in an email. “Their students may not have ever seen their artworks and I also wanted the public to have an opportunity to enjoy and be inspired by their creations.”

Gomon Ring added this could also provide a way to bring in new students who are looking for classes.

The group of artists presenting their work have never been showcased together and several of them are being showcased for the first time. This is also the first time the organization has had this kind of exhibit displaying the work of their art teachers.
