Unarmed Burglary/Trafficking Cocaine/Possession of Marijuana. After running the tag of a pickup truck, officers discovered the registered owner had a suspended license. Once the driver of the truck realized a police car had followed him into a resort parking lot, he sped up and struck a concrete piling with the passenger side of his vehicle and continued to drive away from the police car.
The officer lost sight of the truck after chasing it onto Riverside Drive and finally located it parked at a residence. Police heard the defendant break into the residence and kick-in the door to a bedroom. The victim yelled that someone was in his house and he didn't know why he was there.
Police then heard the defendant jumping through a window and onto the roof. He ran on the roof for a few moments before jumping down to where officers were waiting for him. During his arrest, he spontaneously told officers that he had narcotics in a backpack in his vehicle.

After he told police his name, they learned it was the same name registered to the crashed vehicle.
