The Foreigner

  • When: Fridays to Sundays, March 17-26; evening shows at 7:30, matinees at 2:30 p.m.
  • Where: Flagler Playhouse, 301 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell
  • Details: What does a shy Englishman in search of rest do when he visits a fishing lodge in Georgia? In Larry Shue’s hilarious comedy, Charlie Baker adopts the persona of a foreigner who doesn’t understand English. Believing Charlie can’t understand them, the other guests begin to speak freely in front of him, and Charlie soon hears much more than he should. An evil plot is revealed, and Charlie comes out of his shell to thwart the perpetrators.

  • Details: The public is invited to join the processional and escort the new Torah to her new home.

NCCAA Youth Sports Clinic

  • When: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 18
  • Where: Indian Trails Sports Complex, 5445 Belle Terre Parkway
  • Details: 6- to 16-year-olds will enjoy soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball and golf instruction offered by collegiate coaches and athletes representing National Christian College Athletic Association. Check-in will be at 9 a.m. at Palm Harbor Golf Club for golf and Indian Trails Sports Complex for other sports, with the clinics running from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Music and Wine in the Gardens

  • When: 5 p.m. Sunday, March 19
  • Where: Washington Oaks Gardens State Park, 6400 N Ocean Shore Blvd.
  • Details: Join the Friends of Washington Oaks and the Hammock Wine and Cheese Garden for an evening of Dennis Fermin Spanish guitar music, wine, local art and beautiful surroundings. A $20 charge includes park entry, two drink tickets, one appetizer ticket. Tickets are limited.
