Not very funny
1 a.m. — 800 Block of South Nova Road
Grand Theft. The victim left the Rockin’ Ranch and noticed his 2006 Yamaha motorcycle was missing from the parking lot. The next day it was found parked in the front yard of a nearby residence.
A neighbor told police that he witnessed two males put the motorcycle there and walk back towards Nova Road laughing. They later returned with a female, who had them take photos of her on the motorcycled. The neighbor heard one of the males say “he’s gonna be so p*ssed,” and laugh. The three then got into an SUV and left.
An attorney contacted police later on and told them his friend was the one who moved the motorcycle because he was “intoxicated and thought it would be funny.” Now he said his friend felt remorseful and wanted to amend things right.
The victim wanted to move forward with the criminal charges, and also told police the clutch on his motorcycle had been damaged. It would cost $372.87 to repair it.

Shoplifting. The cashier for a liquor store told police that a man and a woman walked out with a basket filled with four or five liquor bottles without paying. The manager of the store verified that two of the bottles were Grand Marnier, valued at $39.99 each. The suspects fled in a brown or rustic SUV. Though they remembered to take the bottles, the male suspect forgot his blue sandals in the parking lot.
Waitin’ on a woman

Battery Tough/Strike. Officers responded to the residence of a man known to have issues with younger women he has relationships with. The man told police he was struck in the face by the victim, who he maintained was “nobody to him.” Because of his history, officers suspected the defendant was in a relationship of some fashion with the victim.
The defendant told police he became upset with the victim’s husband, who she is separated from, came over to the house and went into the victim’s room with her. He told police he was sitting down to eat and was not happy she wasn’t eating with him. The victim said she was planning to eat with the defendant after she was done smoking a cigarette with her husband.
A verbal argument between the three people became physical and the defendant grabbed the victim by the back of her neck and told her she was “not going to treat him in his manner.” There were no signs of injury on the defendant’s face, and the victim had a red mark and scratches under her left jaw. She advised police that she wanted to pursue charges.

When he failed to return, his co-workers began texting him about leaving with the money. He texted them back and said he was “having a change of heart and starting a new beginning.”
