The Seabreeze boys cross country team's season came to an end on Saturday, Nov. 11, as the Sandcrabs finished in 19th place at the FHSAA Cross Country 3A State Finals at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee. The boys finished with an average time of 17:52.

The Seabreeze boys soccer team breezed 2-1 win against Merritt Island in the opening game of the season on Nov. 9 at Merritt Island High School.
Franco Perez scored both goals for the Sandcrabs (1-0). The first was an inside shot while one-on-one with his defender, and the second was on a penalty kick.
The game was 2-0 before Merritt Island scored with five minutes left in the game. Seabreeze had cleared its bench with 24 minutes remaining in the second half.
Seabreeze's girls soccer team opened up its 2017 schedule with a loss — a 2-0 defeat to Edgewater on Nov. 7 in the season-opener. However, the Sandcrabs (2-1) were able to bounce back with a 4-2 win over Pine Ridge on Nov. 9 in the Sandcrabs' home-opener and a 5-1 stomping of Father Lopez on Nov. 13 at Father Lopez Catholic High School.
Against Pine Ridge, Alauna Neely had one goal and two assists, Kaylee Haas had one goal and an assist, Taylor Nirschl scored the game-winning goal that put Seabreeze up 3-2 and the final goal was scored by Mandy Brock. All goals were scored by seniors.
Haas scored two goals against Father Lopez.
Halifax Rowing Association’s three crew programs had a solid showing at the 2017 Head of the Hooch regatta in Chattanooga, Tennessee, one of the world’s largest rowing regattas with more than 2,000 racing shells on the water through Nov. 4-5.
HRA’s mixed masters 8+ placed third in their division, earning a bronze medal.
And for the first time in HRA history, junior rowers traveled to Chattanooga to compete. The crews tackled the 3.1-mile course in four different events, competing against teams from around the country and racing against more than 70 boats per event.
For the juniors: Meredith Pallemaerts, Matteo Russo, Ben Steel, Bret Bay and Ben Herstein finished 38th out of 90 in the mens 4+.
For the masters masters: the women placed fifth in the 8+, and the men placed sixth in the 4x.
