Over 100 Realty Pros Assured agents and their families took part in the company's Thanksgiving cookout on Thursday, Nov. 16 at their brand new building located at 900 W. Granada Blvd.
From turkey to mashed potatoes to sweet treats, the agents got a chance to enjoy some of their favorite Thanksgiving dishes a week earlier. Bill Navarra, owner and broker of Realty Pros, said they're excited about the new location as well, seeing as they moved into the new building a month ago. The official ribbon cutting is scheduled for Jan. 18, 2018.
Realty Pros is also hosting a food and clothing drive at their building on Friday, December 8.
Ormond Beach resident and Volusia County Property Appraiser Larry Bartlett is now the president-elect of the Florida Association of Property Appraisers.
Bartlett was installed during the FAPA's annual conference on Nov. 9 in Gainesville. The FAPA is a state organization made up of locally elected property appraisers. Bartlett will serve as both president-elect and legislative chair during the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
Bartlett has lived in Ormond Beach for 47 years. He has practiced real estate law in Volusia County for 36 years and was elected as its property appraiser in November, 2016.
Ed and Robbin McGarity are proud to announce that their son, Pvt. Eddie McGarity graduated from basic training by the U.S. Army on Oct. 27 at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.
Born and raised in Ormond Beach, Pvt. McGarity graduated from Seabreeze High School in 2013. He worked at Public for five years before enlisting. His younger brother joined the Army in February and after his graduation, McGarity chose to serve as well.
Pvt. McGarity is now stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio where he is training to be a combat medic.
