Details: To kick off a month full of activities, Ocean Art Gallery is hosting an opening gala art gathering with the showing of sea turtle art by nine artists, accompanied by live music and light refreshments. The event coincides with Flagler Beach’s “First Friday” music event at Veterans Park across from the gallery. The Turtle Palooza events will benefit Friends of Gamble Rogers, a local nonprofit group.

Details: Classic rock band “upTUIT” will perform at this month’s First Friday. There will be exhibits, food and music. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs but not pets.

Details: The 13th annual Creekside Festival will invite Flagler County residents and guests to gather under the oaks at Princess Place Preserve to celebrate the natural beauty of Northeast Florida. The two-day festival costs $7 per carload per day and includes bluegrass and folk music, arts & crafts, a scarecrow decorating contest, beer garden, kids’ zone, hay rides, pony rides, food vendors and more. Details: During the three classes women ages 12+ will learn effective methods to ward off attackers from Sgt. Michael Lutz of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
