Volusia County Court Judge Bryan Feigenbaum has announced he will be running for re-election in the Seventh Judicial Circuit in 2018
Feigenbaum was first appointed to the Volusia County Court bench in 2010. Two years later, he was elected to serve a full six-year term. Though he is running unopposed at this time, Feigenbaum plans to campaign for his seat in order for his voters to get to know him.
Feigenbaum is an Ormond Beach resident and a Seabreeze High School graduate, and before being appointed as a judge, he was a career prosecutor with the State Attorney's Office where he prosecuted over 200 jury trials. In the past, he also served in the Civil Division in Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach.
At this time, Feigenbaum is in charge of both Criminal and Veterans Court Divisions in Daytona Beach and often covers Circuit Court cases. Some of his notable awards include The Gene Berry Award in 2008 for top prosecutor in the state, MADD Prosecutor of the Year in 2007 and Top Gun Awards for the number of trials and convictions.
Feigenbaum has also volunteered as an attorney with The Volunteer Lawyer Project, the Big Brothers program and the Take Stock in Children program. In addition, he is a recipient of the J.J. Martin Leadership ward from Ormond Strong for his work in the Veterans Court.
