Corvette enthusiasts from around the state gathered at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach on Sunday, Oct. 8, for the 16th annual Corvettes at the Beach, hosted by the Flagler County Corvette Club. About 150 Corvettes in every class from 1953 to 2018 sat on display leading up to the awards.
FCCC also raffled off a new TV to benefit Florida Hospital Flagler's Pink Army 5K, which raises money for breast cancer awareness, education and screening. The raffle ticket proceeds totaled $707.
Paul Kachura, FCCC board member, said the club has been supporting the Pink Army for the last six years. FCCC's platinum sponsor is Tom Gibbs Chevrolet. Tom's brother, Bob Gibbs, and Bob's wife, Nancy Gibbs, were at the check presentation, as the cause is close to their hearts. Nancy Gibbs is a breast cancer survivor and has participated in the run/walk for years.
