A children’s book written by Palm Coast resident Meg Maguire recently won the 2017 Book of the Year Award from Creative Child Magazine. “Perfectly Maggie” is a parent-child interactive bedtime story that can help youth develop self-esteem.
Maguire will launch “Perfectly Maggie” at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas on Oct. 17-19. Pre-orders have already been received, and the book will be available for shipping to retailers by the end of October.
When Maguire found out she won the award, she said she was “astounded, delighted and grateful, simultaneously.”
“The 75 judges were educators, parents and early childhood specialists,” she said. “It meant the nightly routine that enriched my own children could help many parents promote kindness while empowering their little ones with healthy self-esteem.”
