The Las Vegas Police Department’s Major Violators Unit arrested a Palm Coast man in Las Vegas for a Flagler County child molestation warrant, according to a release by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
LVPD, which was told by Flagler Sheriff’s detective George Hristakopoulos that the suspect might be going by a false name, arrested Bryan Patrick Loveland, 38, on Monday, Oct. 16.
Police were staking out Loveland’s Las Vegas residence within hours of the tip and took Loveland into custody without incident.
Loveland is being held at the Clark County Detention Center and faces a charge of lewd, lascivious molestation of a 12-year-old.
Loveland was arrested in April by the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Task Force in North Carolina. He was then extradited to the Flagler County Detention Facility. Loveland posted a $150,000 bond but violated the terms of his release by fleeing the state.
Loveland will be held without bond once he returns to Flagler County.
“We will go after dirtbags no matter where they are and bring them back to face justice,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a release. “It’s great to know we have partners nationwide willing to help us track down criminals.”
