After theft of seven trailers, deputies arrest and charge man with four counts of grand theft

Kelly Ryan Campanella’s truck was caught on a surveillance video entering a storage facility in Palm Coast and leaving with a trailer that was later reported stolen.

On Thursday, Oct. 19, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Special Investigation Unit and Tactical Team recovered seven stolen trailers on Mahogany Boulevard in Bunnell.

Now, deputies have their man.

Kelly Ryan Campanella, 26, was arrested Friday, Oct. 20, and charged with four counts of grand theft over $300 related to the trailer thefts, according to a release by the Sherrif’s Office.

Campanella’s truck was caught on a surveillance video at a storage facility in Palm Coast. The video shows the truck entering the facility and leaving with a trailer that was eventually reported stolen, according to the release.

An ensuing investigation uncovered that Campanella was responsible for multiple thefts of trailers from storage facilities and other properties in the county.

He was taken to the Flagler County Detention Facility and released on a $10,000 bond.
