Halloween Boo Bash and Hall of Terror set to return to Palm Coast

Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite" at Flagler Playhouse

When: Oct. 27-29, Nov. 2-5, Nov. 10-12

Where: Flagler Playhouse, 301 E. Moody Blvd., Bunnell

Details: To celebrate Flagler Playhouse’s 40th anniversary, performances of a comedy from its first season in 1977 will run through Nov. 12. Friday and Saturday showtime is 7:30 p.m., and Sunday showtime is 2 p.m. Tickets are $25. Visit flaglerplayhouse.com or call 586-0773.

 

Halloween Boo Bash

When: 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27

Where: Belle Terre Park, 339 Parkview Drive

Details: Palm Coast Parks and Recreation and Wadsworth Elementary School will host the Halloween Boo Bash, which will include a costume contest, candy, music and games. Registration is from 5-5:45 p.m. Free admission. Call 986-2323.

 

Palm Coast Founders Day

When: 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29

Where: Holland Park, 18 Florida Park Drive

Details: Palm Coast will be celebrating its founding with the theme of “The ITT Years: 1968 to 1985.” The Palm Coast Historical Society invites the public to its museum and research center at the park for a free program about Palm Coast’s history, live music by the Palm Coast Community Band and more. Hall of Terror

When: 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, and 7-10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31

Where: Fire Station 21, 9 Corporate Drive

Details: The Palm Coast Fire Department will host the 16th annual Hall of Terror, which is a haunted house and show recommended for ages 10 and older. Free admission. No young children. The theme is based around Stephen King’s stories. Call 986-2300.

 

Suicide Prevention Walk

When: 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4

Where: Central Park at Town Center

Details: The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be hosting the free Out of the Darkness Walk. To register, visit afsp.org/palmcoast. Registration starts at 8 a.m. Call Savannah Rose at 569-5640.

 

'Save the Turkeys' Poker Run

When: 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4

Where: Whispering Meadows Ranch, 5011 John Anderson Highway, Flagler Beach

Details: The Palm Coast Rotary Club will host this poker run, which will begin with registration and breakfast at 9 a.m. at Whispering Meadows Ranch, then move to Beaver Bar in Ormond Beach, Ice House Saloon in Bunnell, South Beach Grill in St. Augustine, Captain’s BBQ at Bings Landing in Palm Coast and end at the Beach Front Grille in Flagler Beach. $20 per person. Profits will benefit community and international projects.

 

Fine Art with J.J. Graham

When: 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4

Where: Berkshire Hathaway Gallery, 101 Palm Harbor Parkway #145

Details: Southern Gothic, a fine art exhibit featuring the recent works of J.J. Graham, will be on display at an opening reception with the artist on Nov. 4. Call 446-2900.

 

Register for Thanksgiving Feet to Feast 5K

When: 7:55 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23

Where: Flagler/Palm Coast campus of Daytona State College, 3000 Palm Coast Parkway

Details: Register online at palmcoastgov.com/FeettoFeast. In-person registration can be done 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at Frieda Zamba Swimming Pool. $25 advance registration closes 10 p.m. Nov. 12. Regular registration is $35 from Nov. 13-22. Day-of-the-race registration is $40 (check or cash only) starting at 6:30 a.m. Nov. 23 at the Flagler/Palm Coast campus of Daytona State College. $20 for students K-12. A free Kids Fun Run for ages 6 and younger will be at 8:45 a.m.
