The Seabreeze bowling team won the district title by defeating Mainland High School, remaining undefeated for the year.
While capturing the title, Seabreeze set Volusia County records with a one-game team total of 1,140 and a two-game team total of 2,219. The Sandcrabs defeated the Buccaneers for the title by bowling a nearly perfect team score of 290 with senior Ronnie Perez striking out in the 10th frame.
Freshman Kirk Mowl, who has already won a national title, took second place for the district individual by bowling a 267, 213 and 213.
The team will complete against 30 other teams for the state title on Nov. 1-2 in Orlando.
The Sandcrabs' boys and girls cross country teams competed in the meet for 3A District 6 on Saturday, Oct. 28, at New Smyrna Beach High School. The boys team finished in second place behind New Smyrna Beach, and the girls team finished in fourth.

Competing in the same district meet as Seabreeze, the Mainland girls cross country team placed third behind New Smyrna Beach and Matanzas. The Buccaneers' had three runners in the top 20 with Madelyn Bronson finishing fourth.

The Seabreeze boys golf team finished in second place at the regional championship for Class 2A Region 4 on Oct. 23 with a team score of 330. The Sandcrabs' low scorers were Harley Rossi, who finished third individually with a 73, Dylan Anderson (85), Phillip Kamelgarn (86) and Ben Donlick (86).
With the finish, the Sandcrabs advance to play in the state tournament at Mission Inn on Oct. 31 through Nov. 1 in Howey-in-the-Hills.
Neither Mainland's full boys nor girls team competed in the regional. On the boys' side, the Buccaneers' Tyler Reese shot 75 to finish fourth individually and to advance to the state tournament. The girls team's Claire Albrecht fired a 71 to capture the region's individual title. Albrecht will also be playing in the state tournament.
