Irma shifts east, first responders pulled off roads

A flash flood warning has been issued for parts of Volusia County.

Port Orange Fire and Rescue have pulled units off roads and are not responding as of 9:37 p.m. Port Orange Police units are also off roadways and are only responding to "absolute life saving" calls, according to officials. 

According to the National Weather Service, the storm has shifted east and is moving north, which means an increasing impact to Volusia County. Sustained winds are now expected to be between 60-80 miles per hour, with gusts from 80 to 100 miles per hour. The peak time for the winds is expected to be around 1 am. to 2 a.m. and can last several hours.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a flash flood warning for Southeastern Volusia County.
