Flagler County issued an emergency order extending curfew for residents on the beachside barrier island until 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to a release.

The mandatory curfew for all Flagler County residents will remain in effect between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

In addition, the ban on the sale of alcohol is still in effect, and the county is encouraging all residents to limit their water usage to conserve sewer space.

“We have extended the curfew on the barrier island because of the critical conditions there,” Public Safety Emergency Manager Steve Garten said in a release. “There is a lot of flooding, downed power lines and debris on the beachside.”
