Flagler gets winds of 83 mph and more than a foot of rain from Hurricane Irma

A curfew is in effect until noon Monday, Sept. 11.

The following is an update of current information and a recap of critical messages from the Flagler County government, as of 6:45 Monday, Sept. 11:

  • Top wind speeds of 83 mph were recorded at 3:10 a.m. in Flagler Beach
  • More than a foot of rain has fallen at the Emergency Operations Center in Bunnel
  • Storm surge has affected some homes on the barrier island
  • Sustained winds at 6:30 a.m. remain at 40 mph and gusts up to 60 mph
  • The Hammock Dunes Bridge and the State Road 100 Bridge remain close
  • A curfew is in effect until noon today
  • The sale of alcohol is banned and includes restaurants and bars in addition to store
  • Call-in center number is 386-586-5111
  • All Flagler County offices are closed Monday to allow staff to work in an emergency capacity
  • Flagler County schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday
