The National Weather Service has maintained a tropical storm warning for Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach and Edgewater for the next few hours.

The NWS forecasts peak winds of 30-40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. They urge people to remain sheltered until the wind conditions deteriorate.

Storm surge threats have also declined, though surf conditions remain rough with some beach erosion reported.

Volusia County's curfew expires at 12 p.m. Monday.
