Deputies responding to a victim who reported seeing a man take money from his vehicle at Big Bear Lane in Palm Coast apprehended Deon Jenkins, 24, on the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 12, according to a release from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the charging affidavit, Jenkins resisted arrest, and the deputy’s K-9 partner, Marko, bit Jenkins in the forearm to subdue him.
Jenkins was taken to Florida Hospital Flagler for treatment before he was moved to the Flagler County Detention Facility.
Jenkins, who also had an out of county warrant from Volusia County for violation of probation on a domestic violence charge, was charged with burglary of an automobile, trespassing, petit theft and resisting arrest without violence.
