Property Damage. After running into the same child inside Love's Whole Food, a woman decided to lecture a child herself, leading to a heated altercation with the child's father.
The woman told police she first saw the child running out the front door of the store, almost knocking her over. She continued with her shopping and as she was about to check out, the same child was running in the store and almost knocked her over again. The woman then confronted the child, and according to police reports, "lectured her on the dangers of running in the store."
The girl's father saw this and approached the pair. The woman was checking out at the register when she told police she heard the child say "no please, daddy no." At that time, the girl's father told the woman she was a "mean person," to which she replied he needed to control his daughter and that she was acting like an "animal" and that he needed to "get a leash" for her.
As she was driving through the parking lot, the woman told police the man jumped on her car, placing his hands on top of the trunk. The woman said she called 911 and the man fled with his daughter. After getting out of her car, she noticed deep scratch where the man allegedly jumped on it.
Police report that there were no witnesses to this, and when an officer talked to the cashier who checked out the woman, she said the woman had been "out of line" and that she was the aggressor. Though there was a scratch on the car, there were no other visible clues that it had been jumped on.
Police made contact with the man's wife who said the woman at Love's yelled at her daughter until making her cry, and that she almost "struck" her husband in the parking lot. Police report that due to the lack of evidence, no arrest was made.

Grand Theft. Police arrested a 35-year old woman after she was caught in possession of a stolen Xbox.
Earlier that night, police first found the woman passed out on a bus bench in the 400 block of S. Atlantic Ave. Officers woke her up and dumped out a Steel Reserve beer. They noticed she was in possession of the Xbox, but when they asked about it, the woman told them it was her cousin's and that she was returning it to him.
An hour later, police received a call from the woman's cousin who told police his Xbox had been stolen. He suspected the woman had stolen it, and police set out to find her again. She was found looking in the front window of an ABC Fine Wines & Spirits store.
Police called the man, who said he wanted to press charges against his cousin. The woman told police she noticed the Xbox was missing earlier that afternoon and that she knew the person who stole it. She said she had retrieved the stolen Xbox and was on her way to return it to her cousin when officers approached her.
The woman was then transferred to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
