Chris Smith, of Palm Coast Ford, was recognized in the company’s Employee Excellence program as the No. 1 Ford employee in the country.
The volume of cars sold and customer satisfaction were the main criteria for the achievement. Smith, who has worked at Palm Coast Ford for the past 12 years, sold 40 cars in March.
He set a goal to become the company’s No. 1 employee nearly three years ago.
“I take a lot of pride in what I do,” he said. “I feel a lot of pride right now that my hard work was recognized. It just shows you what you can achieve if you set a goal. I’m on cloud nine right now.”
Kings Pointe Developers sold two commercial lots in Palm Coast to RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. for $1.3 million, according to a news release.
The two lots are located at the corner of Old Kings Road and State Road 100. One lot is 1.61 acres and the other lot is 1.39 acres.
RaceTrac spokesman Mark Hudgins said that the construction project has gone out to bid and is scheduled to start within the next 30-to-45 days. In addition, there are seven other pad-ready lots available at Kings Pointe, ranging in price from $475,000 to $1.1 million.
Bill Hepler was hired as an infection control manager at Florida Hospital Flagler, according to a news release. He will be responsible for preventing and controlling the transmission of infectious agents in the hospital.
