Biz Buzz: Law firm adds three new partners

Michael D. Chiumento III, managing partner, announced three new partnerships at the 45-year-old law firm, according to a news release.

Ronald A. Hertel, Andrew C. Grant and Erum Siddiqui Kistemaker were all named partners in March.

Kistemaker merged her Volusia County law firm, Kistemaker Business Law, with Chiumento Dwyer Hertel Grant, P.L. to form Chiumento Dwyer Hertel Grant and Kistemaker, P.L. The firm’s Volusia County office is located at 120 E. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach.

Kistemaker, an AV Rated attorney, is currently serving as the president of Volusia Flagler Association for Women Lawyers. She is licensed to practice law in Florida, New York, England and Wales and has worked in a variety of legal settings around the world.

“Adding this talented group as leaders in the Volusia/Flagler market allows us to respond to our client’s needs through the region,” Chiumento III said in a release. “Their wide range of legal expertise, as well as dedication to giving back to our community, allows us to grow our areas of practice and meet the changing needs of our clients and the community.”

TAP awards top agents

Mari Parks, broker-owner of Take Action Properties, held a banquet at the Grand Haven Country Club in January for the top agents in 2017 of Take Action Properties, according to a news release.

The Diamond Awards included top listing producer, Kerry Cooke, and top sales producer, Jesse Warmka. The high-producing boutique brokerage ranked 14th out of 194 brokerages in the Flagler County MLS for 2017.

“I am proud to report that each one of the agents on the team achieved an award,” Park said.

Kia of St. Augustine partners with FCSO

Family Kia of St. Augustine formed a new partnership with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release.

Beginning in March, three Flagler County Sheriff’s employees for the first quarter were recognized and $250 was donated to the Flagler Sheriff’s Employee Assistance Trust in each winner’s name.

In January, communications specialist Tina Eddy was awarded for her ability to go “above and beyond in her duties while overcoming challenges.”

In February, Deputy Philip Conway was awarded for his professionalism and calm demeanor during and after a violent incident that left him injured.

In March, Deputy Nancy Malheiros was awarded for saving an infant’s life.
