The Stage at Thank You Five is hosting a staged reading of “A Steady Rain.”
The play follows policemen Joey and Denny, played by Jack Rose and Terence Van Auken.
Joey is “a loner with a bit of a drinking problem,” and Denny can’t snag a promotion.
During the play, a domestic disturbance call takes a turn for the worst, and the lifelong friends test each other’s trust and loyalty as they wander deep into the rough streets of Chicago.
This play depicts violence and adult situations.
The reading will be at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 at The Stage at Thank You Five, 4606 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. Tickets are $10.
