Details: Join the city’s Parks and Recreation for the draft. It will be a random snake draft where each participant will have the opportunity to pick a player each round. After the draft, participants will communicate over the message board online. The Fantasy Football league will run from September through December. Ages 16 and up are welcome. Details: The American Association of University Women Flagler will host a celebration of the 98th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, establishing a woman’s right to vote. Patricia Ross, president of AAUW Florida will present “How Women Won the Right to Vote.” There will be free ice cream.

Details: Starting Aug. 29, the class will continue into December. Moving for better balance is a group program that focuses on improving functional ability, such as balance and physical function, to reduce risks and frequency of falls or other injuries. The class is good for all levels of fitness.

Details: Correctly used, child safety seats can reduce the risk of death by as much as 71%. The Palm Coast Fire Department along with Safe Kids of Volusia/Flagler counties have partnered together to provide a valuable community service to reduce injury and deaths to children in Palm Coast. Palm Coast firefighters have been trained as car seat technicians and are able to check to make sure car seats are installed properly and to the manufacturer and vehicle specifications. These personnel help install several hundred car seats annually. If unable to attend the event Aug. 30, residents can stop by any fire station daily or call the Palm Coast Fire Department at (386) 986-2300 schedule an appointment to have their Car Seat Safety Check.

Details: The Community Chorus of Palm Coast is seeking voices in every vocal section. There will be an open house meet and greet for new and current members on Sept. 2. Rehearsals for the first concert begin on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at the church. Some choral experience (church choir, high school or college choir, community chorus, etc.) is preferred.
