Volusia County deputies arrested a 33-year-old Ormond Beach man on Wednesday, Dec. 5, on a sexual battery charge after a month-
long investigation determined he had touched a child inappropriately, Volusia County Sheriff's Office reported.
The investigation into Marc Roselle began after VCSO's Child Exploitation Unit detectives were notified of the sexual abuse allegations by a school guidance counselor in early November. Roselle is someone known to the victim. The incident reportedly occurred in the victim's former home in unincorporated Volusia County.
Roselle remains in custody with no bail. According to Florida Statute, he could face life in prison. The victim was under 12 years old.
