Spruce Creek's boys basketball team won five of its last six games prior to its contest against Flagler Palm Coast on the night of Tuesday, Dec. 11.
The Hawks got off to a hot start. Six-foot-4 guard Matthew Steiner nailed four consecutive 3-pointers to give the Hawks a 14-4 lead early in the first quarter. The Hawks led 30-29 at halftime and led by as much as 6 points in the third period.
However, the Hawks were pounded by FPC combo guard Dmaghio Warren, who scored a game-high 31 points and ripped down 12 rebounds.
The Hawks lost 70-60.
