Children of Port Orange Elementary, RJ Longstreet Elementary and the Childhood Cancer Foundation walked the runway in all of their "Whoville" glory at the Streamline Hotel in Daytona Beach on Wednesday, Dec. 12, to raise money for clothing, food and gifts for children in need in Volusia County.
The Grinch Gave Back Christmas children’s fashion show and toy drive benefitted both schools and the cancer foundation, in collaboration with Provision Packs Pantry. The event committee worked with local sponsors and vendors over the last few months to put it all together.
The children wowed the audience as they took to the red carpet for "The Grinchmas Fashion Show." Families and guests were able to enjoy music, crafts, snacks, a photo
booth and local artisan vendors, who donated a portion of their proceeds. The show also featured a special appearance by the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who. Port Orange Elementary Coach Julie Kirton was brought to the stage and recognized for being one of the Teachers of the Year nominees for 2020.
Kimberley Hennessy of Children Charitable Events produced the event, and Nicole Carr hosted. The organization sends a special thanks to the rest of the team at Children Charitable Events: Kathlyn Apostolos, Ashley Spanos, Heidi Horvath, Amy Otto, Sona Knudsen, Stephanie Harris, Shelley Bertsch, Jenny Kramer, Traci Dwight, Carole Cailler and the staff and management team at the Streamline Hotel.
Participating vendors included LilJams Boutique, Doterra, Oliva Ellen’s Boutique, Pet Caress, Kannaaway CBD products, Sappho’s Chocolates, Kingdom Stuffers and Cherylinstitches Crafts.
