Cypress Creek Elementary students, under the guidance of teachers Chrissy Ashby and Stacie Youket, participated in STEM holiday-themed activities during an after-school program on Monday, Dec. 17, made possible by a partnership with Solutions 4 Growth.
Solutions 4 Growth, which is owned and operated by Leslie Casey, provided the curriculum for this educational and fun afternoon. The goal of the activities is to provide enriching experiences in an informal learning environment, centered around individual learning styles and interests with a focus on developing higher-level thinking skills.
The students created a maze with paper plates and straws, adding a jingle bell for a ball. They also performed a science experiment with soda, a cranberry and jingle bells.
