Hope for Horizon: Chick-fil-A helps out Horizon Elementary School, in Port Orange

Chick-fil-A didn't invent the chicken, just the chicken-sandwich fundraiser for Horizon Elementary School.

Chick-fil-A held a spirit day Feb. 1, with 15% of the bill benefitting Horizon Elementary School, which was vandalized Jan. 16.

Vanessa Cassel, a second-grade teacher whose room was not affected, said, "We (teachers) pay for everything out of pocket, This year I spent $800 out of my own wallet. Everything made here will be helpful for the teachers affected."
